The value judgements associated with it, the perpetuation of negative stereotypes and archetypes
strangely part of the spiritual syntax of a language that has a primal split between
 Good and Bad,
Friend and Enemy,
 Lucky and Unlucky .

I do not promote giving attention to Things by giving them form as a Group when it is not from an appreciative or loving heart.
It is dangerous to have a belief in collective creation that may be indifferent to the hurt and suffering associated with it.
Or feed from it, growing ,
Language of disrespect ,
a contagion of consciousness.

As a Human practice this becomes a cultural expression, An artificial language, of subjects and objects, describing things and ways as We perceive Them,  in Our environment.

Much of My Feeling of " Pagan " Religion-Spiritual practice is based around Oral Tradition.
The Communication process is more than a collection of words , it is a participation in a event.
The Magic of breath and voice , listening with more than your ears, seeing the expressions of subtlety and nuance that reveal the character, spirit, and meanings of the words.
the emphasis is not in the exact recitation of what words are spoken ,
but how they are spoken.
In a Time before commonly written words each gesture, each presentation and arrangement was significant in meaning.
An appeal to Interpretation and understanding. a live, a living thing.
Story Tellers and  story.

My NeoPagan Spiritual Development does not owe much to an ancient word of mouth tradition, or direct contact with divine beings,
 but ,has grown from two public cultural institutions.
Parks and Libraries            Sharing is their reason for being.
Public Education has only been available for a few generations, the Culture that I am part of -  is profoundly modern- related to more than the language of a People from a particular Place, it is related to the Economic History of Peoples .
Access to space for interaction, collecting and distributing, ideas, promoting inquiry are not part of the ruling dominant class order of the Old World.
These are not part of the Privatization and control mechanisms imposed on society by the Wealthy.
It is not commerce as religion, market as temple.
It is a recent product of a print media culture of literate readers,  responding to the variety of thought, opinion, expression that can be found in the same Language.
Reading and Writing changes the way We Think.
It triggers an old " Us and Them" sense beneath our conscious mind and collective psyche.
There are those that " get it", and those that don't.
Gone is the wink, or nod of recognition.
Commercial Media is Tied to the perpetuation of the Commercial State.
A particular type of story telling that is not based around " truth" and understanding, but persuasion and influence.
The  view that conflict and competition is to be glorified, is not informing the public about the way of things,
It is not a bridge between,  It is a divider.

The Big Difference between an Offering,  or a Tax,
 is in the independent and voluntary assessment of the nature of indebtedness in the exchanging relationship .

One practice emphasis the internal sense of giving and gratitude that needs to be expressed openly and shared , it is a creative impulse that draws upon the individual to think , feel , and assemble.
An Exercise in free will and imagination, empathy, appreciation, respect.
This happens from within, from abstract impulse , to order ,structure and form.

When a tradition establishes, and fixes, the relationship,  as one of contractual indebtedness , setting a prescribed method,  and meaning,  to the reciprocal process, (with the order as the vital component.).
Individuals and groups are expected to participate, -  have to give in a certain fashion, -  are made to give.
This is an external command, fulfilling obligations set by others, .fostering dependency on the system. order ,tradition ,-  which directs and extracts it's support, with claims of service or rite.

To My Neo Pagan Mind,  this is about ruling more than appreciating , Taking more than Giving.

I am not a fan of unnecessary oaths, pledges and promises, binding entanglements and complex consequences.
I don't provide a paint by number ritual experience, or tell people the what and how. of a one size fits all
Religious practice.
I  don't force or manipulate, with guilt or shame, but seek to witness what is real, and what is authentic and genuine, unmolested and unsolicited,  joining, or splitting.

To profess what is right and wrong in practice and belief  has socio- psychic consequence, attempting to influence,  persuade and dissuade others in behalf of a Cause, Country or Creed can be a calling, but one that is often in conflict with stimulating individual inner awareness , discovery and decision.

" You didn't find the Shrine in a Box,    It found You! " said a friend this Summer Solstice.
It is the overwhelming response,  I find from people, I tell the story of ,  How I came upon,
 the ornate Hindu Shrine,  in the north corner,  of an eccentric, eclectic, Living room, setting on top of a non functional wood stove, elevated higher by it"s shipping Box ,from around the same time,  that The Order Work started out, a number of  Years back.

 I burnt the Indian Newspaper wrappings this Solstice as part of The Sacrifice for the Season, and the Sun in particular...........Traveler!               Space  and  Time Traveler!
I wonder.....
 
How much of My Collected Treasure has seemingly found Me? perhaps willfully searched Me out? Things in My Life that I was not looking to identify, understand, or love
Chance?
 circumstance? 

Self determination?                 Free Will ?             choice ?

Does Crisis, and Need attract beneficial Spirits to our aid more naturally and effectively than our prayers and rituals for our wants and desires? expectations of out comes?

" I have been living under the assumption that I was in possession of a functional psychic ejection seat." I confessed at this Solstice, referring to my experience of pain,  that took Me to the Hospital,  almost two years ago.
It was not an Out of Body - near Death experience, but one in which my Spirits- Souls- identity-vision were bound;  deep in my Flesh.
I felt as if I was being Held and tortured, punished. It seemed something had found Me and targeted My Self Control.
I was not able to command any ability to sensually disassociate, Magic powers of tuning out, or trying to tune into something more pleasant.
The ability to " change channels" I had found from childhood nightmares may have been My first "Belief" in
Magic traveling.       Our innate ability to spiritually navigate,  maneuver awareness,     find ways.

I felt the need to share after Solstice, telling my friends about the Acupuncturist I found near by.
I have never experienced this kind of Spiritual awareness shift, triggering trance state,  in such a non intrusive form.
It has nothing to do with My belief or expectations. I'm not taking any thing in to my Being, accepting any substance into my physical or emotional  person that would explain the dramatic difference in My state or condition during and after treatment.
Some how, I am being led on a journey, needle by needle,  that I am doing My best,  not to pay attention to .
Dissolving bonds, Spirit energy movement within and without, the out of body self  that is unconscious- yet aware    .Deep Diving Trans-personal  Soul voyaging while exfoliating My astral Form.

Extradimensional Magical Journeys

I was especially aware of the most recent  scheduled  Mound Journey, of the Clergy Order.

Excited to participate, as an expression of caring,  and devotion,  to the transference of Mystical Wisdom.
A practice based around inquiry and observation, Freedom of thought and action, association and belief.


 I was introduced to the concept through odd references on the computer clergy list.
 A Monthly Ritual containing a prescribed  shared meditation, trance work- to seek a common destination...
As an Order, we would return to this Place,
 and share among our selves, what We have seen,
  in writing,  on the Computer.
 A first Experience for Me !
That is what brought Me to this Dimension.,  This Practice  ,   This Blog.

Skip drove down, I led Him out to My Nematon, and He led Me on My First Clergy Journey, then took off!

My Spiritual creative impulse had never been connected to the Tool that is the Computer, or the strange nature, of the hidden unseen audience , that exists,  in the artificial  inter-web.
 I also received unexpected, unanticipated Worldly Visitations, or Gifts , related to this Priestly Work, including getting together with Isaac before He Died. 

I suppose I never cared for the Idea  of the exclusive keys for the initiated, or the reward tokens of merit produced by  My Religious Organization. I don't respond well to obvious gimmicks of secret knowledge possession, Or promoting rumor of special behavior-abilities.
To Me it is Tacky at best , a dangerous Game, Vulgar patterns of Group bonding that have nothing to do with Real Magic.
Promoting Respect and Gratitude!  Appreciation Loop! Psychic Switch Board ! Cult Awareness!
     Speaking                     Truth,                                       to the best of Our                  Ability.
Something in the insider, members only,  appeal runs strongly contrary to the functional interface of Spiritual  Community.+ Sharing a platform , Gathering Places, - access.

 The Study Program,  and The Organizational Governance Process,  allowing and promoting the belief that manipulating the mechanisms  of  Order, and Organization, are the way to get what You want.
 A School of Belief that justifies the existence of organization by It's function or Service to be extracted.
 Part of a rather rational,  and logical,  dominating consumer mindset,  fed to Our Cultural Larvae , in the Material World.
  Who confuse guided visualization and Dungeons and Dragons, believing that it is all a product of the Mind/Self/Ego.          Religion as Resume - Anti- Magic  ,                 What is in it for Me,   motivation.
For Me,  It is Distraction -  The Spirits are definitely not My Imagination.or of  anyone else .
  Things that are independent autonomous entities, that exist outside of our perception of them.

 What defines my Work as a Priest-Clergy-Druid is not  My beliefs, practices, customs, traditional response, and reactions ,that I hold, or I achieve .
 But,   How ( It)  is applied, to others , that act of sharing, that openness is the bare all reality of Trying to Host and Moderate Regular Group Worship,
     It Must be Love. It might be skill, I don't think it can be part of Training, or certification.

My Involvement is not about seeing that my Place within an Organization is established and secure,
I likewise do not believe that I have special Knowledge that Everyone must Observe,    However!
Promoting the Idea that The Gods, Goddesses, Spirits and Ghosts are as We Imagine them to Be, or as a group Decides they are, is a Unsafe Path- Disrespectful- unobservant- prone to group delusion and misrepresentation.
It is a challenge for those of us who believe that objects and subjects are more than we believe them to be, to be confronted with Popular hostility and professional ridicule.
 But I have a built in intolerance for such shenanigans,
 Nothing is  what you think it is.
Things are not limited to our descriptions of them

For Myself,  the Keys to the Journey were in promoting direct appreciation of the materials and tools of Human Spiritual Craft, with a focus on the process ,the seeking of inspiration.
Returning to a Place Beyond the Self,  to find,  to discover,  to experience, to feel . 
 why it comes,                        and goes,                                               the making,


The Order work is a continued quest for Meaning , understanding.
I was recently visited by two of the Orders members in Person for a Ritual Holiday.
